I can't speak highly enough of Casa Giovanni. The house is incredible, high up on the peninsular opposite downtown Acapulco with amazing views of the bay, especially from the private terrace of the top room. It's an old, safe neighbourhood away from the tourists but only a short walk from Playa Caleta (where you will also find the excellent Swiss Dive Association). The very knowledgeable host, Doug, went out of his way to make me welcome taking me out for lunch and even giving me a lift to the bus station. Highly recommended!!!
